NEAR Protocol has deployed a major upgrade known as “Nightshade 2.0” on its main network, designed to improve the scalability and usability of the blockchain.
The feature was introduced in testnet in March, and allows users with a NEAR account to sign transactions on blockchains it supports, without the need for cross-chain bridges.
The spinout is aimed at advancing NEAR’s modularity and bringing more decentralized development to the ecosystem.
Chain signatures allow users to transact on any network from one account.
Users will be able to convert Blumer tokens for other cryptocurrencies and withdraw to wallets.
