The haphazard price action caused over $200 million in liquidations of crypto-tracked futures, of which $150 million were longs, or bets, against higher prices.
A sudden trading volume on VanEck’s HODL product seemed “retail armyish,” one analyst said.
Data from past cycles entered around halvings, and a key technical analysis tool suggested that the path of least resistance is higher.
