Some residents of Asia appreciate the constancy. Many of the rising, younger generation, however, appreciate and even instigate change. Many of these younger citizens of Asia tend to want to rebel somewhat against these ancient traditions and to wear their own style. In the Western hemisphere, the fashion world has evolved more quickly than some of the older parts of Asia. It is this younger generation that is having the most influence on current Asian fashion clothing.

Asia is the largest continent, and as such, also has the most residents of any other continent on earth. Of course, the clothes worn vary from one place to another and also among countries, depending upon factors such as socioeconomic status as well as personal taste. One thing most of the residents of Asia really appreciate, however is good fashion. Within the continent are many different countries, and a variety of cultures and languages spoken as well. One thing in common among all the residents of these different areas of Asia is that they do wear clothes.

Good Asian fashion clothing is currently in high demand. Some residents of certain parts of Asia take pride in the fact that they are still doing things the way their ancestors did. That even the clothing they are wearing is that of their forefathers. There was recently a Japanese official that bragged to some outsiders that the fashion in Japan was the same as it has been for the past 400 years. In some locations of Asia, fashion has remained much the same as it was many centuries ago. Fashion experts have noted this constancy of fashion.

The same holds true for music as well as fashion. For instance, many in the East want a nice pair of jeans, since these are generally not produced in Asia, and some countries even consider jeans as being against the law. Much of this fashion is sent to the East, legally or illegally. Many consider the styles and trends in the West a type of popularity that they want to adopt in their countries also. There is currently a high demand in Asia for fashion clothing from the West. This prompts a certain black market in some of these countries, while other locations where it is legal are seeking to obtain such clothing in mass amounts.
