Oracle to pay dividends this month; Here’s how much 100 ORCL shares will earn

Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) investors have less than a week to secure the company’s next quarterly dividend payment, with the software giant set to distribute cash to eligible shareholders later this month.

The upcoming payout comes as Oracle stock trades at $142, well below its late-2025 highs despite continued growth in its cloud and artificial intelligence businesses.

Oracle will pay a quarterly dividend of $0.50 per share on October 23, 2026. The ex-dividend date is October 9, meaning investors must own the stock before that date to qualify for the distribution.

An investor holding 100 ORCL shares will receive $50, while holders of 500 shares will earn $250, and those with 1,000 shares will collect $500.

The payment is unchanged from the previous quarter. Based on Oracle’s current share price, the stock offers a forward dividend yield of 1.41%, equivalent to annual dividend payments of $2 per share.

Oracle distributes dividends quarterly and has a forward payout ratio of 18.15%, leaving ample room to support its expansion plans.

The dividend comes as Oracle continues to benefit from strong AI and cloud demand. In the first quarter of fiscal 2027, the company reported record revenue of $19.3 billion, up 30% year-over-year, while cloud revenue surged 62% to $11.6 billion.

Cloud infrastructure revenue jumped 121% to $7.4 billion, while cloud applications revenue increased 10% to $4.2 billion. GAAP EPS rose 55% to $1.56, and non-GAAP EPS climbed 30% to $1.92.

Oracle’s remaining performance obligations reached a record $664 billion, up $209 billion from a year earlier. The company secured more than $30 billion in new AI cloud contracts during the quarter and expects about half of its backlog to convert into revenue over the next three years.

To support demand, Oracle added 850 megawatts of data center capacity and delivered more than 300,000 GPUs, with AI infrastructure utilization remaining near 97.9%.

Oracle stock challenges

However, investors remain focused on Oracle’s aggressive spending plans. First-quarter capex exceeded $28 billion, while fiscal 2026 capex totaled $55.7 billion against roughly $32 billion in operating cash flow.

The technology company also expects fiscal 2027 capex of $90 billion to $95 billion, though net cash spending should remain below $70 billion.

Free cash flow was negative $5.4 billion in the latest quarter and negative $23.7 billion in fiscal 2026.

To fund expansion, Oracle launched a $20 billion at-the-market stock offering program and continues to benefit from customer prepayments and flexible contract structures.

The company also faces potential delays at its Wisconsin data center campus and Project Jupiter in New Mexico, while absorbing higher energy costs at the Point Beach nuclear plant.

Despite these challenges, Oracle expects fiscal 2027 revenue of at least $90 billion, up about 34% from fiscal 2026, and forecasts non-GAAP EPS of $8.10.

Second-quarter revenue is projected to grow 30% to 34%, with cloud revenue expected to rise 65% to 71%.
